My husband and I love books. In fact, going to the bookstore is one of our favorite date night activities. To take things up a notch, I created a fun book themed date night featuring an I Love You Scavenger Hunt. Free printable included!

A stack of books and a printable book scavenger hunt sheet

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to come up with a special Valentine’s themed date idea for my husband and I to do together.

One of our favorite date nights is going to the bookstore, picking out some books, and reading first lines out loud to each other. Yes, we’re total nerds, but it’s so much fun!

I thought this was the perfect lead-in to a love themed date night. I mean books + dates + love = 😍.

And bonus: this date can be done any time of year–not just around Valentine’s Day!

I Love You Scavenger Hunt

I created this free game board download for you to print to complete the game.A romantic book scavenger hunt printable

You can download it here or by clicking on the image above.

Simply print a copy for both you and your date, grab a couple pens or pencils, and head to your favorite bookstore or library!

How to Play

There are two ways to play this game:

  1. Split up, gather your books, and meet back together at a certain time to share what you grabbed.
  2. Move around the different sections of the bookstore together, sharing what you find as you go along.

Either way makes for a super fun (and free!) date night!

Future Dates

If you want to make it extra special, snag a few of the books and use them for future dates. The books for “something fun to do together,” “recipe you want to make for your date,” or “book that would be fun to read together” are good options!

So grab your cards and head to Barnes and Noble for a fun date night that’s sure to bring laughs, memories, and lots of kisses!

What’s your favorite book about love?
