Giving gifts is a fun way to show someone you care. Download a free printable tag and create a Box of Love for a simple Valentine’s Day gift or to tell someone how much they mean to you any time of year.
One of my favorite things in the whole world is giving gifts to people–especially if it’s a total surprise. It’s how I show love for people, oddly enough, since gifts is my least prominent love language 🤷.
But there’s just something so special about going to the store, picking something out for someone else, then dropping it by and seeing the smile on their face. Even if the gift is dumb, the sentiment is powerful: “I care about you. You matter. My life is better because you’re in it.”
I LOVE it!
Box of Love
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought it was the perfect time to create a Box of Love–a box to drop off just to say “I love you” to someone special or someone who might need a little pick-me-up.
This box can be given to your kids, your spouse, your mom, a friend, a sibling, a stranger, ANYONE! Just customize it to their likes and needs.
And while this makes a great Valentine’s Day activity, a Box of Love can be given any time of year–not just in February!
Supplies
For this project, you need:
- A box or basket of some sort (Dollar Tree has a ton of options for $1)
- Items to fill it with (ideas below)
- Printable tag (also below)
- Paper and ink to print the tag, or send it to a print shop (this is my favorite cheap cardstock)
Putting Together Your Box of Love
I created this tag as a sheet of four to a page so you can make multiples if you’d like. What a special way to tell your friends, siblings, kids, or grandparents you love them this time of year!
You can download your tags for free here, or click on the picture above.
Simply print the tag, cut it out, attach it to your box or basket, and fill the container with goodies that will put a smile on the recipient’s face. Yes, it’s that easy!

Simple Way to Show Love
This box is a simple way to let someone know how much you love and appreciate them. It can fit any budget (attach it to a box of homemade cookies or go all out and buy a bunch of items from Target or Amazon) and it can be done any time of year–not just around Valentine’s Day.
What’s your favorite way to show someone you love them?
Great idea and cute printables! Thanks!
I’m pretty sure I got this love of gift giving from my mama 🙂
