There are definitely things that take up our time There are definitely things that take up our time that are out of our control!

But how much of our time are we spending scrolling Instagram, doing busy work, comparing ourselves or our lives to others, complaining there isn't enough time, or doing things that don't really matter to us?

I know I’m definitely guilty of at least few of those…😳. And I’m ready to spend a little less time on those ⬆️ and a little more time on the things I truly want to spend my life doing. Who’s with me?! 🙋🏼‍♀️

I’m so excited about this! I love books. I love I’m so excited about this! I love books. I love talking about books. And I love learning and growing. So this is like a win-win-win! 🥳

Note: after filming this, I decided it won’t necessarily be quarterly. Instead, I’ll break each book into small weekly sections, meaning some books will take 3 months and others will take 6 weeks, depending on the length, content, how it’s structured, etc. This first book will cover April and May.

I used to beat myself up for not being a good enou I used to beat myself up for not being a good enough mom. Then the amazing @heyjenkane asked me what that meant. What does being a good mom look like? 

And I had no answer for her! 😳 Here I was, judging myself for not being enough, when I had no idea what it was I was going for.

After giving it some thought, I realized that, in my mind, good moms do 3 things with their kids: love them, teach them, and connect with them. That’s it! 🤯

And when I look at it from that lens, I’m a dang good mom!  Am I perfect? No. Definitely not. But I also shouldn’t waste my time and energy thinking I’m not enough for my kids.

And the same goes for productivity. Don’t waste your time and energy thinking about how you’re not productive enough. Instead, take a minute to figure out what it actually looks like to be productive. Then go from there.

What does productivity mean to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts. I seriously LOVE to hear how people define things. It’s so cool! 😍

Should you listen to those feelings or push throug Should you listen to those feelings or push through and do it anyway? 🤷🏼‍♀️

First, I like to ask myself WHY I don’t want to do it.

⬇️ Here are a few of the most common reasons I don’t want to do something and how I approach them:

▪️Is it because it feels overwhelming and I don’t know where to start? 👉🏼Then I break it down and just focus on the next tiny action.

▪️Is it because I’m tired or hungry or have some other physical need that isn’t being met? 👉🏼Then I do what I can to fulfill that need (grab a snack, take a nap), then get to work.

▪️Is it because I’m feeling sad or scared or frustrated or stressed? 👉🏼Then I let myself feel and process it. Maybe I journal or call a friend or go for a walk. Then, I get to work.

▪️Is it because it doesn’t feel important or I don’t see the point? 👉🏼Then maybe it’s time for me to drop or change it.
