I started a second blog–Family Book Stop: Where Family, Fun, & Books Meet!

I started a second blog--Family Book Stop: Where Family, Fun, & Books Meet!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with books. In fact, before I could even read, I’d take stacks of books taller than I was to bed with me each night.

That love never died. Now I have 1350+ books on my to-read list (actually not an exaggeration🙈) and I’m happiest when in a bookstore.

Friends often text me looking for book recommendations, wondering how I find so much time to read, or asking for tips and tricks to get their kids to read more. And I LOVE to share that information with them! It brings me so much joy to share my book obsession with others and give my best tips & recommendations regarding all things reading.

For awhile I tried to share this love of books on Perfectly Imperfect Mama, but I quickly learned that I couldn’t share that passion in a way that still felt authentic to Perfectly Imperfect Mama and my mission here. So I thought, “Why not start a second blog?” (Because apparently I’m not busy enough…😅).

At Family Book Stop, I’ll share book recommendations, tips for finding time to read, games & activities involving books or reading, and how to add reading to your family culture. I’m on a mission to to help other moms create a culture of books in their homes and to teach their kids a love of reading. But I believe that in order to do so, we first have to teach them (and believe ourselves) that reading is fun! And that’s exactly what Family Book Stop intends to do.

So if you’re looking for ways to make reading a bigger part of your family life (or even just a part of your own), head on over to Family Book Stop! You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

What’s your biggest struggle with reading in your home? Let me know in the comments below!
