This free Create Your Own Spiderman download is sure to be a hit with your family. Take your Family Movie Night up a notch with this Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse activity for kids.
My husband loves going to movies, so I encourage him to go after the kids go to bed a couple times a month. He decided to go see Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse with fairly low expectations.
When he told me what he was seeing, I was confused. Another Spiderman movie? Yeah, please go see that without me. I didn’t really have an interest and I knew nothing about it. In fact, I had no idea it was animated.
Then he came home and told me it was really good. He insisted I go see it and take our son. I was even more confused. Was he sure our son would like it? Was it appropriate? He assured me it was animated and rated PG and that I really needed to go.
So I went on a little mother-son date and OH MY GOSH. I loved it! I was very pleasantly surprised. Even though it’s like the 100th Spiderman movie, it felt unique and fresh and was really well done.
My son loved it too, so once it came out on video, we rented it to show our daughter as well. Needless to say, everyone in our family is a huge fan!
Family Movie Fun Activity: Create Your Own Spiderman
I asked my son for input on an activity to pair with this movie and he immediately said it would be fun to create his own Spiderman. That sounded simple enough!
So I created a worksheet to help guide their thoughts and the kids came up with their own Spiderman.
My son created Cyberman from New Borg City, which I thought was pretty clever. And my daughter named her Spiderman after…herself. Which pretty much sums them both up perfectly.
It was a fun, quick, and simple supplemental activity that added a little extra fun to our movie night.
