Help your kids create this cute and easy emoji craft, then watch The Emoji Movie for a fun family movie night!
I’ve never seen The Emoji Movie before, so I thought Family Movie Fun was the perfect opportunity to watch it. Plus, it’s currently on Netflix. Score!!
Activity
For today’s activity, we’re going to create our own emojis. How fun is that?! I’m a HUGE emoji fan and I use them WAY TOO MUCH. For awhile I felt really immature because of it, but then I realized that I don’t care if it’s immature. I love using them and they make me happy, so why should I stop? đ¤ˇđ
So making my own emojis was a ton of fun. Okay, maybe this one was more for me than my kids đ . But hey, kids will like this too, so it’s not so bad, right?
Supplies
- Construction Paper
- Make-a-face stickers (or markers or colored scraps of paper)
Directions
- Pick out a base color and shape for your emoji.
- Cut out the “body” of your emoji.
- Use the stickers (or markers or paper scraps) to decorate your emoji.
- If you want, give your emoji a name.
That’s it: a super simple craft that has no prep work, takes just a few minutes to complete, and barely leaves a mess. Plus your kids are happy, have fun, and are more excited for the movie. Win-win!
